Your Equity Bank® checking account comes with standard overdraft protection as a convenience & safety net to our customers. This means that we may authorize and pay ATM and one-time debit card transactions even if you do not have enough money in your account to cover the transaction. We will charge you a fee of up to $30.00 each time we pay an overdraft. If your account is overdrawn for 8 or more consecutive calendar days, we will charge an additional $5 per day. There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account. Beginning July 1, 2010, federally mandated changes will prohibit us from providing the overdraft protectiocurrently made available to your for ATM or one-time debit transactions unless you agree to this overdraftprotection or “OPT IN”.
