Effective January 1, 2010, new rules for Regulation DD regarding overdrafts go into effect. These new rules prohibit account balances to be disclosed to the customer that contain funds that are available through the use of Courtesy Pay. Because of this change, Courtesy Pay amounts can no longer be accessed through debit cards or ATM cards, either at an ATM machine or when using your debit card at stores.

As a result of this new law, you will no longer be able to use your Equity Bank MASTERCARD® ATM/Debit card(s) to make purchases or ATM withdrawals in excess of the true available balance in your account.
